9th European GIS in Education Seminar (EUGISES): GI Education for a Spatially-enabled Society, 4th-7th September 2014
The seminar will be an occasion for all of those interested in the teaching and learning of GIS in Europe (and beyond) to share ideas, best practice, innovations and novel applications. Delegates will be able to present full technical papers and posters, take part in one or more workshops, and more importantly will have the chance to participate in the discussion of presented work
This seminar will provide an informal setting for European and global researchers and professionals in the GIS sector to discuss GIS education. Papers will be presented in a single stream through the seminar to ensure delegates can attend all sessions.
The meeting will start with a welcoming address and an ice breaker reception on Thursday evening. The main presentations will run from 9:00am to 6:00pm on Friday and Saturday. A summation and future planning meeting will be the focus of Sunday morning, with the seminar formally closing at lunch time.
To encourage networking and exchange of ideas, as well as the more structured sessions there will also be an active social programme, including a conference dinner and a social evening.
