The 11th annual Law and the Environment conference will be held at UCC on Thursday, 25th April 2013, and this year will focus on the theme of Reform of Irish Environmental Law. The Conference Programme contains an extensive list of expert speakers addressing a wide range of topics organized into a number of Specialist Sessions, including:
- Mapping the Future of Environmental Justice;
- Constitutional Reform for Environmental Protection;
- Reform of Energy Policy and Climate Change Law;
- Reform of Marine and Coastal Environmental Law;
- Options for Environmental Enforcement; and
- Options for Imposing Environmental Liability.
The conference is aimed at a broad range of environmental professionals, including the legal professions, policy-makers, regulators, industry and environmental interest groups, and provides an opportunity for the dissemination of information on the latest legislative and judicial developments, research results and evolving best practice in the area of Environmental Law, Planning Law and Natural Resources Law. Seeking to build on the success of previous events, this year’s conference will aim to allow plenty of time for participants’ questions, open discussion and informal networking opportunities, despite the expanded programme of papers and presentations.
Registration Fee can also be paid at the event or preferably in advance by cheque payable to University College Cork Law Department (send to: Noreen Delea, Dept of Law, University College Cork, Cork, Ireland).
