Student Surgical Conference 2017

The UCC Surgical Society is welcoming all students with an interest in surgery to attend our conference on the 27th & 28th of January, 2017 in the Brookfield Health Sciences Complex. There will be a variety of highly interesting talks, surgical skills workshops and research poster presentations.

The conference will focus on technology and its role in future advancements in surgery. In addition, we aim to showcase how surgery has already progressed as a direct result of new technology, leading to much better prognoses and quality of life for patients. Ultimately, we hope to demonstrate how surgical techniques have been improved upon today by technology, the internet, and widespread access to information.

Call for Abstracts:We are currently looking for students to present their research (with any surgical relevance) in poster form at this conference. There will be prizes for the 3 best posters on the day which will will be judged by the surgical consultants speaking at the conference.
