The Personal Insolvency Act 2012 - 10/05/2013

The Faculty of Law will host a CPD Seminar on Personal Insolvency law on May 10th, 2013. The Seminar will begin at 2.30 pm and will be held in Boole 3.

Speakers will include Mr. Lorcan O’Connor, Director of the newly established Insolvency Service of Ireland. The Honourable Judge Kevin Feeney will Chair the first session.
Professor Irene Lynch Fannon will speak on ‘Irish bankruptcy tourism' and some recent cases under the UK Insolvency Act 1986 as amended by the Enterprise Act 2002. Simeon Gilchrist, Partner, Edwin Coe LLP, London will speak on other aspects of the UK bankruptcy system.
Gerard Murphy BL will speak on aspects of the new Irish legislation particularly those involving court procedures.
Conor Lehane BL will speak on the relationship between personal insolvency matters and corporate insolvency, in particular where guarantees have been given for corporate debts.
Bill Holohan, Bill Holohan Solicitors will Chair this second session.
There will be a Question and Answer session.
