What is the role of regions, local authorities and cities in the European Union? Citizens dialogue, November 19th 2016, Cork Ireland

At a time of concerns regarding citizen confidence in the EU, this event will aim to engage local citizens, members of local and regional assemblies, and other representatives in an open discussion on the ways in which they can engage with the EU and how it impacts on their regions and cities.

Led by the Committee of the Regions President, Mr. Markku Markkula and the Minister for European Affairs, Mr. Dara Murphy, it is intended that the event should result in an open and lively debate. The debate will be held alongside the Startup Nations Summit, which gathers a network of startup community leaders and policymakers from around the world to help better enable high impact entrepreneurship.
