International Nano-Optoelectronics Workshop 2013 (iNOW) 19/08/2013-30/08/2013
A Summer School jointly organized by ITN-PROPHET, SFB 787 School of Nanophotonics (Berlin) and iNOW consortium.
Closing Date for Registration is 15th May 2013.
This School will provide a forum for international nano-photonics community to present their latest research results as well as a networking platform to develop friendship and collaboration between young scientists for future advances in photonics. The program will feature outstanding series of lectures by internationally recognized scientists and industrial leaders as well as poster sessions for participating students to present and discuss their own research results.
Main topics will include
Growth of nanostructures
Nanophotonic devices: novel concepts and modelling
Widegap semiconductors (LEDs and UV lasers)
Solar cells
Telecom high bit rate devices, quantum communications
Optical interconnects, signal processing, future high performance computing and photonic systems
Photonic devices for life sciences and environment Eminent scientists in the field will animate the school. These include: A. Arakawa (Univ of Tokyo JP), J. Harris (Univ. of Stanford US), C Sirtori (Univ Paris 7 F), A. Forchel (Univ. of Würzburg DE ), H. Riel (IBM Zurich CH), S Forrest (Univ. Michigan US), YH Lee (KAIST Daejon KR), Y.
